Do not buy it if
You need a standalone, feature-rich DAM (portals/external sharing, watermarking, C2PA, RAW/CAD handling, facial recognition, GIS) as your primary system — Akeneo's own DAM page documents none of these; the DAM is explicitly positioned as a companion to the PIM, not an independent media library. Also avoid if you need transparent, published pricing to budget without a sales call — only the free Community Edition and a non-committal "$0" Growth trial banner are shown; the two higher paid tiers are quote-only.
