It covers digital asset management as a subject: how the software works, what the standards do, and how teams get a library into usable shape. It is reference material rather than product marketing, and it is kept separate from the product pages for that reason.
Who publishes this site?
PicaJet, which makes photo management software. Where our own product is discussed it is described on the same criteria as any other, and the relationship is stated on the page about how we work rather than left implicit.
Is the content independent of the publisher?
The publishing rules are the same regardless of whose product is being described: sourced figures, a visible checked date, no scores. That is a weaker claim than editorial independence and a more honest one, which is why it is worded this way.
How often is the material updated?
Factual pages carry the date they were last verified, and that date is what to trust rather than the publication year. Pricing and packaging change fastest in this category; core workflow descriptions age far more slowly.
Can I republish or quote from these articles?
Quote freely with a link back to the page you took it from. Republishing a whole article is not something we permit, mostly because a copy stops being corrected the moment it is made and ours keeps being corrected.
Do you accept guest articles?
Not at present. Pages here have to meet the same sourcing and dating rules as everything else, and running that process with outside contributors is more work than the current setup supports.
How do I suggest a topic?
Write to support@picajet.com and describe the question you were trying to answer when you could not find a good page about it. That framing is more useful to us than a keyword, because it tells us what the page has to do.
Do you cover products other than photo libraries?
Yes. The material spans video asset management, 3D and technical file workflows, and industry-specific requirements, because those are the cases where the general advice stops applying and buyers get caught out.
Is there a newsletter?
There is a subscription form on the site for occasional updates when substantial new material is published. It is not a scheduled newsletter and it does not send anything else.
How do I report something inaccurate?
Email support@picajet.com with the page and the specific claim. Corrections are made on the page and the checked date moves with them, so it is visible that the page was revisited.
